At The Golden Coin at breakfast the party see a couple of shifty characters who are joined later on by another, listening from afar they hear them planning a robbery on the road
Doris McWhirter tells them about the protest later that day and asks them to mention it to Ovak Shadowblade at the Oakville Supplies
Ping follows the bandits out of the pub and up the road, sees them preparing an ambush
Old Hisk enters the pub and gives Doris a kitten skull to give to Marla
Eldon has brief exchange with Old Hisk who doesn’t like the turn the monastery has taken, however he seems quite unconcerned about its long term impact on the community
Fent and Ping go back to the road, Ping hides at a distance, Fent walks up the road and is “ambushed” by the bandits
Fent shows off his wealth and gets a critical hit on the first bandit, takes on all three while Ping advances with his shortbow (also gets a good shot in)
Eldon visits the shop and talks to Ovak and Gorwyn Trisidark about the monk situation, he tells them about the protest. Eldon shows them his egg, Gorwyn had found a similar one in the nets of a fisherman that he knows
Eldon joins the bandit fight. Two are killed (the second finished off by Eldon’s crossbow), and one flees, Fent throws coins after him “this is what you could have had!”
They loot the bandits who seem to be quite wealthy (20gp in total)
They position the two dead bandits as though they are kissing against the rock
Adi picked up his coins
They return to the village and Ping joins the protesters outside the Slaughtered Racehorse. Eldon watches from the other side of the road (with Thizenor)
Fent goes into the pub and talks to John Corleone, who has an egg pendant. He enquires about it and John offers to introduce him to Brother Seamus
Ping does a great job in rallying the protesters, Doris is getting more and more irate
Brother Seamus approaches from down the road, Doris throws her placard at him and starts yelling at him and the crowd he has with him
Eldon gets Thizenor to talk to Doris to cause a distraction, meanwhile Ping is trying to mediate a peaceful discussion between the opposing factions
Eldon goes into the pub and sees Fent distract John with a coin flip and tears the egg pendant off him
Outside Doris is charmed by Seamus
A scuffle takes place in the Racehorse with Eldon snatching two of the eggs, one of the others escapes the pub and shouts to Seamus outside that they are being attacked
Eldon persuades (with dice!) Fent to give him the two eggs that he has and Eldon, with five eggs races out of the back of the pub and finds a boat and rows it to his cave down the coast
Ping enters the pub
Seamus casts his Aura of Serenity charming Ping
Seamus wants to put an egg on Ping, but Fent manages to persuade him to let him do it, Fent takes the egg and makes quick acrobatic exit out of the back of the pub
Ping’s charm wears off as Seamus leaves the pub ushering his forlorn followers out who shuffle out behind him
Fent heads to the Oakville stores to buy eggs and gold paint…

If Eldon continued his research it could have been used by the monks on the hill for evil
Heretical scriptures being passed around Ping’s monastery.
Eldon was researching something that could persuade the minds of others, so if it had fallen into the hands of the monks it could’ve augmented their abilities.
Ping left Oakville Monastery one week ago.
Ping went to Fent’s temple for help. Told Fent about his concern, Fent said keep mouth shut and Ping went back and they arranged to meet at the The Golden Coin.
Doris knows that Eldon is worried about power and the monks of Oakville Monastery.
Eldon and Ping chat about the situation in Oakville Monastery.
Halfling & Dwarf monks come in with Tymoran robes and wearing golden egg pendants.
Doris pushes the monks out of the door: “Don’t come back or go over the road.”
Doris says John Corleone being hassled by them and she doesn’t like them.
Eldon Looks out the window and sees them praying in the street.
Thizenor is down the basement saying “we’ve got a problem.”
Eldon takes a bucket of slops, walks out the door and walks directly in front of the monks praying and says, “YOU WERE ASKED TO LEAVE” and throws the slops over them. They walk off to the beach.
Eldon charges serenely down the ladder, then Ping and Fent. They fight a Giant Rat in the cellar. Eldon uses Chill Touch and Fent uses his warhammer, Ping and the Rat miss each other (XP: 25).
Eldon finds the entrance point behind barrels of ancient rum, Thizenor seals it up.
Doris pours expensive rum for the party as a reward and gives them food, and gives them free board for several days
Ping remembers the golden egg being passed at the same time as the heretical papers back at the monastery.
Eldon responds to his question, “have you come across this before ?” and he remembers egg shaped potatoes.
Marla shouts at Doris, she is angry at her attitude towards the monks. She storms across the bar towards the door.
Eldon stands in front of the door and takes a boot off, and puts a foot out to stop her leaving, saying: “Do these toes look trod on ?”
Marla tells them its her mind that they appeal to.
Ping tries to get her to sit with him but fails to persuade her.
Eldon really doesn’t like this situation and suspects Marla is being coerced.
Eldon stands aside, lets her out and says “good luck!”, she scowls, but Ping follows her very stealthily.
Ping sees Marla walking down the road and she is apprehended by the dwarf and halfling monk. She is very upset.
They pray together and they give her a pedant, she is consoled by them and walks away smiling.
Ping goes back to the pub just as Eldon and Fent are about to leave, they return to the spot and the two monks are walking towards them.
Ping walks up to them, Eldon stands back.
Ping says, “we’re all children of Tynera” and wants to pray with them.
Fent grabs the halfling monk and starts shaking him.
Bishop Harold, the dwarf cries: “We’re helping people!”
Fent drops the halfling and starts shaking the dwarf.
Ping incapacitates the halfling monk, and Eldon searches him and finds a Golden Egg Shaped Pendant, short sword and 93sp
Bishop Harold damages Fent, Ping shouts “Don’t kill them!”, and they are now both incapacitated on the floor (XP: 25)
Brother Seamus turns up, Eldon holds up the pendant
Brother Seamus casts charm which works on Fent, a fight breaks out, the charmed Fent attacks Ping. Seamus hums a soothing chant. Eldon tries to intimidate but fails.
Brother Seamus invites them for a drink at The Slaughtered Racehorse which they raincheck.
They return to The Golden Coin and take a long rest.
