- Closed front door with iron spikes
- In the guard room Ovak deduces that equipment was damaged on purpose
- Falkrunn does mass cure wounds
- Found the screws and the wires and the Multimeter and gave to Nebulus
- Found scroll of receipts and two Potions of Healing
- In the Control Room they realise that moving causes sparks, Emalas uses dexterity and Nebulus uses Mage Hand to investigate the book on the desk and start the power up using strength (lever) and intelligence (control panel)
- Three vampire spawn burst into the room and attack, Giles, Buffy and Einstein
- Giles uses his magic staff to dazzle
- Buffy escapes upstairs, Giles and Einstein are defeated and beheaded; turning to dust
- They loot Giles:

▲ Aramil and Emalas’ backstory
Both Aramil and Emalas were part of a monastery in the elven forest where they lived, monastery was to an evil god (Nythrendel).
Jevin Malici was a power hungry monk who was evil to the other members of the monastery, and had powerful mind effects on the monks (this is why Emalas’ psychic damage reminds him of the leader of his monastery).
Aramil and Emalas were good friends because they both disagreed with the leader, and while Emalas was good at being a monk, Aramil didn’t feel like it was right. Aramil escaped the monastery to try his hand at being a charlatan rogue, while Emalas remained at the monastery to build his basic skills as a monk whilst secretly disregarding the teachings of the evil leader.
As soon as Emalas felt he had achieved the basic skills necessary, he escaped and managed to break free from the leader’s psychic influence and sought out Aramil while also looking for a new order to join (now a member of the Monastery of the Godless at Saltmarsh). Then The Sunless Citadel adventure began.

- Followed footprints around The Sidhean (the barrow), suffered psychic blows and Aramil found tracks to a hag corpse. Searched corpse but found nothing of interest.
- Entered the Sidhean and explored the rooms leading off the main corridor, searched some and found small amounts of treasure
- Falkrunn picked up silver bottle and released swarm of insects that Emalas dispatched easily
- SIBH Siegfried Bumblehammer identified wine bottles as being worth large sums (100gp each), Falkrunn gave bottles to Siegfried and Ovak
- Ovak poked bone into liquid in the cauldron and touched some of the liquid in the cauldron but the saving throw was a success and she just felt a bit tense
- Aramil and Ovak broke two eggs prompting the wrath of two Carrion Crawlers and a young one that hatched whilst in combat
- Ovak tried to break down the door and Aramil tried to pick the lock but did not succeed
- Aramil tried to reassure the sobbing creature behind the door
- Aramil and Falkrunn stayed inside while Emalas and Ovak searched the body and found the key sewed into the lining of the hag’s cloak. Siegfried stayed by the entrance and screamed at the arrival of the Manticore and Hag.

- The Party defeated the Manticore, Marsha fled (again)
- Searched the body of the dead hag and found a key to the door and rescued Emely Barrowvaire, they find:
- Ovak takes bottle with sliver of fingernail inside
- Falkrun takes a potion of Greater Healing
- Emalas takes bottle with misty liquid inside
- Behind the other door they find a cage of zombie children, Aramil befriends Emely and the other children
- Siegfried cooks up some sweets made from Candyweed and the children revert to their normal selves
- When The Party return to Murkthorne they encounter the mayor Crownat Daziot who they mistake for Ekkzahl and defeat
- Siegfriend takes children back to parents while party defeats Ekkzahl and Marsha Mayfly
- They search the house and take the treasure giving some to the residents, also:
- Aramil finds book Ancient hieroglyphics of the Sacred Temple of Demon Cove
- Ovak takes Bracelet of Protection (requires attunement +1 AC) from the wizard

- Party donated ancient coins to Seaton Museum
- Zargo (the Museum curator) promises to look through archives and will contact Keledek when he has more information about Tenelia’s Staff (pole)
- Aramil followed the mysterious gnome who was asking about Winston in Saltmarsh, he sees him taking notes about the manholes
- Landorn tells Aramil about the very secretive thieves guild under the streets of Saltmarsh

- Party arrive at Saltmarsh in the Ace of Diamonds
- Landorn sent Thizenor to tell smugglers party are on an errand
- Delivered Knot Root to Keledek, he has promised to help with the lighthouse in some way as a return of favour
- Landorn will take carpenters from Carpenter’s Guild to get them started on the docks on Abbey Isle
- Frank, Ernest, Borin and Korin (with armour & weapons bought by The Party) go to Red Larch to deliver Candy Root to Northill and bring back Grindol to start work on lighthouse

- Party took clifftop ledge, Falkrunn took part of ledge away with her feet taking away a safe exit
- Party fought bats in tunnel back into the caverns

- Party took the left hand way and found Mad Agatha the Sea Hag who engaged in conversation and frightened all except Emalas. Party defeated her and she fled to the sea. Party took her bottles, skrimshaw and Silver Ladle. Aramil burnt her notebook and threw it in the sea.

- Ovak put Mad Agatha’s silver ladle on her backpack with other cooking gear
- Party drank from the holy river in the Bullywug Worship Hall and decanted some of the water into their waterskins
- Party found secret room and when inside set off trap which released poison gas, Aramil took the ornate box and its contents
- Reached the sacrificial chamber and engaged in combat with eight Bullywugs and their Shaman, Falkrunn took a mortal blow and was knocked unconscious for two hours
- Party took a short rest in the secret room and Falkrunn came back to consciousness
- Party found the Bullywug library and investigated the cabinet, they checked and found nothing behind the cabinet.

S026 : The Battle of Century Border

11/05 Noon - Year 2080
- Travelled through the ancient underwater ruins, and found “Tenelia’s Turret”
- Battled with an aboleth and were either wounded and taken or guided through the portal by mysterious supernatural humanoid figures
- Falkrunn retrieved the three broken pieces of the staff mount
- Found “The Catcher’s Rest” the tavern on the site of the Saltmarsh of the future, met Kabo and Kailee, Kailee drew a picture of the characters fighting off a band of orcs trying to vandalise the tavern
- Witnessed The Battle of Century Border and fought hobgoblin troops at the rear of their assault
- Witnessed Tenelia and Eldor’s final stand against the hobgoblins, Falkrunn cast mass healing word on The Party and the elves but could not save Tenelia from being hacked to death, Eldor may or may not have survived
- Followed the parts of Tenelia’s staff float down the river, the stone and mounted floated into Saltmarsh sound whilst the rod got caught up in reeds by the side of the stream
- Overwhelmed by hobgoblins the characters found themselves back at the stream near modern Saltmarsh
- Falkrunn cast detect magic and found traces of magic throughout the stream in this area
- Investigating halfling seen talking to Arflek Xandathar Balgraith
- Party retired to The Adventurer’s Rest

- Discussed Demon Cove adventures with Keledek
- he is looking after the pieces of Tenelia’s Staff Mount
- he is going to study the mount and research about the sea monster and Eldor
- Stantflak and Grindol have returned from Northill, they brought news from the area and concerns about Millip Farloon investigating Winston
- Spend the afternoon in The Snapping Line
- Later Landorn meets them, he is then ushered away by Gellen’s Assistant Barry Garlov.
- Landorn is sent on secret mission by Gellen
- Soon after The Party are summoned (Ovak and Aramil are too drunk and make their war back to The Adventurer’s Rest) but Aramil is called back by Gellen
- Ovak and Stantflak drink at The Adventurer’s Rest
- Aramil persuaded Landorn to take Grindol to Abbey Isle first thing in the morning to oversea harbour building
- Gellen and party exchange notes around Winston & Millip and accept his mission to go to Seaton and rendezvous with Winston at Murkthorne

- Keledek gave The Party a present of stationery to deliver to Amelia
- Saw Skerrin and Manistrad arguing outside the mine, Manistrad is concerned about the rising cost of Arkroot
- On route to Seaton The Party witnesses a robbery by eight Bugbears of a rich noble in a carriage, The Party took heavy damage but managed to defeat them. The carriage was ablaze but Falkrunn put the flames out with a spell
- Noble and three servants killed, buried the bodies
- Party found money and goods (letter and ornate dragon statue in an ebony box)
- Arrived at Seaton at teatime
- Ovak and Emalas helped Mr Simpkins and Ray Hayhosen rid the Golden Dragon hotel of rat infestation (Ovak cultivated friendly rivalry with Mr Simpkins)
- Went for crumpets with Amelia at Cara’s Crumpets, Amelia gave The Party an impressive map of Seaton and told them about the hauntings of the sewers under the temples (“The Numiscenti”)
- Checked into Seaton Bay Hotel and very generous with tips to staff

- Observed noble turning up in expensive carriage with a larger carriage alongside
- Delivered dragon and letter to Friezman Arboghast at the temple of Q’Put, he told them that it was Marmaduke Seatonreeve and party remembered that they had dealt with his relative Aubrek
- Investigated the sewers
- Ovak and Emalas broke the grille getting in
- Sewer water drained out leaving the tunnels almost dry
- stumbled across Diesl’s Retreat, Elsmeed and a stranger were there

- Party and Diesl exchanged what they knew about the situation with Winston:
- Winston used to work for Scariode
- Winston has angered Scariode in some unknown action
- Winston lost his hat
- Party told Diesl of Gellen’s plan to get Winston out (ie: to ask The Party to escort him to Zyntium
- Elsmeed borrowed Aramil’s hat of disguise to pretend to be Winston to lead Scariode off the scent
- Diesl sent a message out to his contacts to get what Aramil had written in Diesl’s Ledger to Winston, ie: the location of the rendezvous
- Party and Diesl exchanged what they knew about the situation with Winston:
- The Party left via the Stage Street manhole
- Party spots trails and decides to split up
- Emalas shakes off his trail by using an arena exit with help from Mr Simpkins at Fisticuff’s Bowl
- Fulkrun hides in the museum but is followed and ambushed on the way back to the Seagate, Emalas hears Fulkrun’s calls and aids in knocking the goon unconconscious

- On the way to Murkthorne party are ambushed by four goons on dire wolves, all enemies killed. They found a letter of confirmation and promotion to Sergeant in Scariode’s bodyguards
- Party get to Murkthorne and are healed with some potions taken from the ruins of Ekkzahl’s house
- Winston showed up at 12pm, they use horses lent by villages to race to Old Ben Maysmith’s docks, as they greet Ben and Winston pays him for help, Scariode’s cage and goons show up

- Party found a two story cottage in the centre of the island and searched it, found a trapdoor leading down with laboratory equipment, bed and a safe
- Opened the safe and took items out
- Found notes about an experiment to gain eternal life, including three books (Falkrunn later deduced these were quackery)
- Ovak and Emalas pushed open secret door, slab of stone, party fled after brief fight with animated Iron Statues, tried to seal them back in but stone difficult to move
- Party conspired to run the slow statues around the island while Ben and Winston built trap which they caught the statues in an burnt them

- At the back of the temple they find another exit
- While the others rest Aramil and Emalas fight off two weakened shadows
- After rests there is a gap in the clouds and The Party race across the square escorting Victor and Naomi through the immediate danger, they run off to the harbour
- The Party turn on the fountain in the square in the pump house opposite
- As the clouds come back in The Party run back, through the temple, out the back door (while fighting vamps at the back door) and run to the graveyard that the vamps avoid
- Aramil picked the lock to the graveyard and they walk through past the graves, Ovak smashing skeletons to bits easily with Shatterspike
- They get to the end of the graveyard and Aramil picks the gate lock to get into the gardens
- The Party finds two dead bodies which are little more than skeletons, they cautiously investigate them and find a pouch with 80gp and a watch, Falkrunn casts detect magic and finds none

- Kraken Priest comes out of the Temple as the cultists and priests are excited by the view of The Ace of Diamonds.

- Bump into Thizenor at the market
- Party convinces him that the Kraken will leave.
- Thizenor is worrying that the Ace of Diamonds won’t be fixed in time to pick up Janice Hommond. He will find out how much repairs will be but he’s more concerned that there’s no one in Saltmarsh to do the repairs, ship isn’t in a fit state to go to Seaton.
- Party see Skerrin coming back into town and talking to Anders looking very cross and bewildered.
- The Party go to The Snapping Line
- The landlady Hanna Rist tells them the “oar” was found near the sharkfin bridge many many years ago.
- Aramil tells her about the Tenelia’s Jewel in the shipwreck.
- So she wants to make the “oar” a tourist attraction.
- Aramil tells her about the Battle of Century Border.
- Falkrunn convinces her that a plaque would be as good if The Party took the rod. The Party convince Hanna that she could open part of the pub as a museum with the staff (after it’s been used) as the centerpiece. The Party take the rod.
- The Party go to the museum
- The curator of the museum is Eda Oweland, it is part of the Town Hall
- Tell Eda Oweland the same story. Eda is more than happy for The Party to take the stone. * The story for the general public is that The Party are taking relics of Saltmarsh to be valued at Seaton museum.

- The Party see guards arguing with Boris Cleverly (Scariode’s Lawyer who is on the way to Seaton and stopping over at The Wicker Goat)
- Oval and Aramil defuse the situation, Ovak by pulling rank

- Ovak manages to slam the door on the black dragon in the courtyard, but it smashes it open, then bites and incapacitated Aramil

- Dragon hovers at 30ft, breaths acid, Emalas uses evasion and a nat 20 to dodge all the damage
- Falkrunn uses Guiding Bolt, and Ovak follows up with a javelin
- Emalas runs up the wall, jumps on the dragon forcing it to fly into wall killing itself, Emails jumps off and slowly floats down and lands with the grace of an 248 year old elf

- After Aramil picks the difficult lock, Falkrunn casts detect magic on the items in the room, which includes lots of treasure

- Eda is at Gellens Party, in the past she has been frosty towards Gellen but since he protected her at Red Larch she has taken a shine to him

- Aramil proposes a decoy group of clerics at the docks of Plenswic, and another group comes in nearer the city in a pincer movement, general agreement at this plan
- Farnard & Shanktang bring in the dead body of Sir Simon Nesterdorn, who tried to fight Doktor Zogranda and died
- Falkrunn, Emalas and Hope move his body to a room in the pub
- Falkrunn and Emalas tell stories to the clerics about how they held out in Plenswic and also fought monsters in the Underdark, they tell the clerics that they support them in purging Plenswic of the vampire threat

- Janice Hommond gives The Party a special tranquilliser to use on weapons against the “dragons”
- Goal is to defeat and capture, and hopefully ascertain “weak points” so that others can help with the rescue
- Collect sand for the beach which Nebulus can use for his new telescope mirrors
- If possible investigate the special weapon that Penneth Imryll devised according to legend that could kill Grannie Nightshade
- Rescue any indigenous peoples
- Janice and Jan Hammerfist will follow on in The Ace of Diamonds once it’s been fixed up
- The Party sang the Song of the Eagle and cast light on the Ruby (Emalas has to sing the song by himself afterwards as the first singing seemed to have no effect (neither did Emalas’ until later)
- Frank & Ernest turn up later in the morning, they have been advertising RestBrew along the Barratsee Road and now are looking for passage back to Saltmarsh
- Stormwing arrives and Nebulus persuades him (with the help of The Party’s crate of haddock) to fly them to Isla Sanclare

- The Party follow Asdor’s tracks and finds a camp with the tracks leading in two different directions
- Emalas and Ovak follow the tracks north to the beach where they find Asdor’s henchmen and Hill Giants with boats ready to take them aboard
- Aramil and Falkrunn follow the tracks west and uphill
- Emalas and Ovak backtrack to the first camp
- Aramil and Falkrunn cross a river and fight a Spinosaurus, and kill it after Falkrunn is swallowed
- As Falkrunn emerges from the belly of the dead beast, Aramil asks: “Can you heal me please?”
- They find Spinosaurus eggs and mark on their map
- The volcano is becoming more smoky
- They see Qooziekin the bird fly into the wrecked ship
- Falkrunn accidentally stubs toe and yells (+1 INSP)
- They see Asdor and his men in canoes, they flee when they see the party

- Aramil and Falkrunn sneak around the dinosaurs and then backtrack to the camp where they meet Emalas and Ovak

- They return to the lake, make camp and Emalas water walks to the wreck
- In the morning they use Waterbreathing potions to swim into the wreck of the Siren Song and up into Qooziekin’s Lair
- They meet Qooziekin and ask whether he’s responsible for the mountain exploding, he’s not. They try to persuade him that the island is going to be destroyed and also tell him about impending battles with Grannie Nightshade and also about Madnarg and Huul

- They decide to go to the Plenswic Lodespire via Plenswic Main Harbour
3001-02-12 : The Party : Plenswic City
- The Party pay Karl Thornewake the boatman 17gp to take them to Plenswic, he will come to the Plenswic Tower Channel Docks every day at 600 and 1800 wait for half an hour for the next fortnight
- Nebulus and the Party fly over the Plenswic Cursed Vines to reach the Lodespire.
- They see the Buffy Vampire near the Lodespire
- Emalas jumps to the floor, realises that the vines near the Lodespire are dead, he breaks into the building, runs past zombies and helps the party through the window off the roof and into the square
- Aramil tries to find traps on the door to the Lodespire, no traps and the door opens easily
- While exploring the main room on the ground floor Nebulus touches one of the electrical coils and three Stormcaller Elemental spawn, they are defeated by the party and Nebulus

3001-02-12 : The Party : Plenswic Lodespire
- Closed front door with iron spikes
- In the guard room Ovak deduces that equipment was damaged on purpose
- Falkrunn does mass cure wounds
- Found the screws and the wires and the Multimeter and gave to Nebulus
- Found scroll of receipts and two Potions of Healing
- In the Control Room they realise that moving causes sparks, Emalas uses dexterity and Nebulus uses Mage Hand to investigate the book on the desk and start the power up using strength (lever) and intelligence (control panel)
- Three vampire spawn burst into the room and attack, Giles, Buffy and Einstein
- Giles uses his magic staff to dazzle
- Buffy escapes upstairs, Giles and Einstein are defeated and beheaded; turning to dust
- They loot Giles:

- Falkrunn realises that ¾ of the panels are new, the rest are damaged
- In collapsed room they find:

- Nebulus stays with the controls and the party ascends to the maintenance bay, Emalas and Aramil use acrobatics to get up and throw a rope down to Ovak and Falkrunn (who hear a ghostly voice shouting in draconic)
- They get to the Custodian’s Bunker
- Falkrunn takes the Serving the Public Book
- After repeated attempts they finally get into the Thought Locker and retrieve:
